RBI Syllabus for Assistant Overview

All candidates preparing for the RBI assistant exam will require the exam pattern and syllabus of the same.  This is very important while preparing for an exam. RBI Assistant Section Process

The RBI assistant exam is conducted in three phases

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Mains Exam
  • Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

The syllabus for each of these phases has been given below. Both preliminary and main sections will have questions about the English language, Quantitative aptitude, and logical reasoning. The main exam will also have an additional section for general awareness and computer knowledge. To get selected, candidates must clear all three sections of the RBI Assistant exam.

Note:

For each wrong answer. 0.25 marks will be deducted. If the question has been left unanswered, no deduction of marks will take place. So, if you are unsure of an answer, leave it unanswered rather than writing a wrong answer.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Candidates who clear the main exam will be called to attend the LPT. This test will be conducted in the official language of the state concerned. Candidates have to be proficient in the local/ official language if they want to be selected. The language that will be tested is given below, state-wise.

Preparation tips for the RBI Assistant exam

While preparing for the exam, your focus must be on improving your weak points. Work hard on your weak sections. Meanwhile, do not ignore your strong sections completely. Maintain a balance and work on all the sections. We would also advise you to take up RBI assistant mock tests and practice papers. This will help you understand the exam pattern and syllabus better. It will also help you figure out your weak and strong points. You can work on your time management skills also. Set a time limit to make sure you stop within the prescribed time. RBI Assistant Salary

If you wish to apply for an RBI Assistant, you might be interested in knowing the salary as well. The pay scale for the role is Rs. 13150-750 (3)-15400- 900(4) -19000-1200(6)-26200-1300 (2)-28800- 1480(3) – 33240 – 1750 (1)- 34990. The basic salary for an RBI Assistant is Rs. 14,650/-. There will be additional benefits like Dearness allowance, House rent allowance, city compensatory allowance, and transport allowances provided to the candidates.
