CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is an exam that is conducted twice a year by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) board in order to hire eligible teachers for primary and upper primary levels in schools. It is necessary for all the candidates to clear the exam with at least 60% to pass. It is conducted in two phases – Paper I and Paper II. The CTET syllabus has been given below.

If you aspire to be a teacher for classes I to V, you will have to attempt Paper I. Paper II is conducted for candidates aspiring to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. Both papers have objective multiple-choice questions. CTET syllabus is vast. It revolves around Child Development & Pedagogy and the concept of education in schools. The most important section that you need to master to clear this exam is Language. Other major subjects are Mathematics, Science, and Environmental science.

CTET Paper I Syllabus
This paper is an offline exam where the candidates will be tested on the basis of their Language I & II, Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. If you aspire to teach students of classes I to V, you will have to attempt this paper. The detailed syllabus for the same has been given below.
